Itinerary

Day 1

Depart Kota Kinabalu for Agathis Camp by 4X4. The journey will take you through a

scene of Villages and their lifestyle. Lunch stop at keningau before proceeding to

Maliau Basin Field Center passing Nabawan, Sook and Sepulut. The journey will

take around 5 – 8 hours depending on the road conditions.

* Guest have to carry their share of food during the trip

Accommodations :

Jungle Camp : 1 night at Camel Trophy Building and 3 nights at Jungle Camp

Recommended items to bring :

Good trekking Shoe, Leech Socks, Insect Repellent, Personal First Aid Kits, Raincoat,

Hat/Cap, Sun Block, Good Rucksack.

Above Itinerary are example we might have to change the Camp site without notice as we have to depend

on your trekking abilities and the existing facilities in the area.

Wake up by the call of Borneon Gibbon as part of the morning chorus in the rain forest.

After breakfast start the day trekking into the Basin for Camel Trophy. The trek will go

through a steep ascend of the formidable Maliau Basin escarpment. And into a gentle

slope of inner Basin. Vegetations are varied from the Low Land Forest to the heath

forest. Trekking will take around 5 –7 hours depending on ones fitness.

Trek to Ginsing Camp. The trek will bring you through Heath Forest and Agathis Forest

stop at a view point where you see the rims of the Basin. Vegetations include Picher

Plants, Orchid and Rafflesia. Trekking take around 7 – 9 hours.

Get ready for the 7 tiers fall of the Maliau Basin. The tallest being 35 meters high. Spent

the day around the fall free and easy picnic or swim in the pools. The pools size as big

as 2 football field. Trekking around 3 – 5 hours.

After Breakfast trek back to Agathis Camp. If time permitted we will be able to do the

educational tour on the project done in the Basin. Depart back to KK after lunch.
